Save the Date for the Reston Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting, Sing Along & More on Nov. 29

Be prepared to spend all day on Friday, November 29 in Reston Town Center. It’s the city’s annual kick-off to the holiday season with activities planned from dawn to dusk. Start the day at 11 a.m. with the 28thannual holiday parade, featuring balloons, characters, special guests, and more. Get there early to grab a good spot, and to get your jingle bells to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Claus. They arrive near the end of the parade on a horse-drawn carriage, and then stick around for photos, mini-train rides, and street entertainment until 4:30 p.m. Then it’s onto Fountain Square for more face time with Santa, the tree lighting, and holiday song sing along at 6 p.m. Plus, the Ice Skating Pavilion will be open all day to take your first spin of the season on the rink, and horse-drawn carriage rides are available until 10 p.m.

Rain or shine, Reston Town Center’s holiday kick-off is the one day you’ll need to begin a season of festive fun and good cheer. Visit the website for more details, including location of six free parking garages on parade day.
