Happy National Wildlife Day!

Did you know that Sept. 4 is National Wildlife Day? Established in 2005 by Colleen Paige, an animal behaviorist and philanthropist, this holiday (which is also observed annually on Feb. 22) serves two purposes: First, it intends to raise awareness about endangered animals on a global level. Second, it encourages animal lovers of all ages to support animal conservation initiatives, whether through donating to non-profit organizations or simply visiting their favorite zoo! So get out there this weekend and visit your favorite wildlife institution near Reston!
