Get Ready to Celebrate America

It’s that time yet again. The day we as Americans celebrate the birth of our great nation. Many will gather for fun and games, great barbecue, and of course, to end the night with a bang, fireworks.

Washington DC always puts on one of the best fireworks spectaculars in the country each year. If you and the family want a prime seat for this fireworks showcase, there are plenty of places around the DC area where you can see the show in comfort. Here are some of the best venues:

U.S. Capitol – West Lawn. America’s favorite Independence Day celebration will feature unrivaled performances from some of the country’s best-known musical artists,

National Mall. The mall is an experience all by itself. Pack a picnic. Break out the lawn chairs and glow sticks and celebrate America with thousands of patriots. This is one location you just cannot beat!

White House. Yes you can… stay out front of the White House and view the fireworks.

Other great venues: Cardoza High School – Tidal Basin of East Potomac Park – Iwo Jima Memorial – Steps of the Lincoln Memorial – Gravelly Point – Air Force Memorial – The Kennedy Center Terrace – Memorial Bridge – and last but not least, any rooftop.
